Night Train

A 1 track neo-soul single (5m 38s) — released March 4th 2022 on Brotherly Music

Kinzoogianna AKA Anna Stubbs from ground breaking Nu Jazz /Broken Beat band Brotherly, presents her debut album as a multi-instrumentalist , singer-songwriter and producer.
'Gold For The Hungry Souls' is due for release in August 2022 and features Rob Mullarkey and Richard Spaven on bass and drums, and is an epic nu-jazz soul collection of nine quirky and memorable songs, with hooky unexpected grooves and harmonies.
The second single from the album, 'Night Train' is released on March 4th 2022, on Brotherly Music/Kudos Records.

Night Train is a tale about a good friend leaving the home town to the big city lights, and returning to do a search and rescue for the ones left behind. It builds on a programmed drum pattern with quartal piano chords, building into a multi layered vocal chorus. The harmony is unexpected, and with the addition of Rob Mullarkey (Jacob Collier) on bass and Richard Spaven on drums the tune gets progressively more like a big West London broken beat dance floor banger with a jaw dropping drum solo behind it.

A blissful collision of jazz and neo-soul, which will charge you with good vibes. - Nora Stereofox
